Ivana has built a career in the labour movement over the last ten years, and has used her ability to leverage research insights in support of lobbying and advocacy campaigns that have affected legislative changes. Ivana’s work has led to significant legislative changes in Canada, in particular, her research has set a benchmark in the area of occupational PTSD in feminized workplaces, both in Canada and in G8 countries. She has built her career in academia and the labour movement, gaining experience in public and private sector unions, with research experience in labour markets, precarious employment and poverty, healthcare systems, equitable access to social programs, industrial policy, and the future of work.
