Description
Michael Schönstein is the Head of Strategic Foresight and Analysis at the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), where he co-ordinates the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs’ activities on digital transformation in labour and social affairs, including the German AI strategy, and the German AI observatory. He previously worked as an Economist at the OECD’s Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs and a policy advisor at the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the German Federal Ministry of Health. Michael Schönstein holds degrees in Economics, International Relations, and Public Policy from the University of St Andrews (UK) and the Hertie School of Governance (Germany).
