About
The OECD Rural Development Conference Series, overseen by the OECD’s Regional Development Policy Committee (RDPC) and its Working Party on Rural Policy, was first initiated in 2002. The series provides the premier international forum for policy officials, experts, private sector representatives and civil society to engage in dialogue whilst strengthening existing networks and fostering knowledge-sharing on rural policies across the OECD and partner countries.
This regular dialogue, comprising stakeholders at all levels, has helped shape OECD work on rural development, leading to the definition and measurement of rural region performance, the evaluation of rural policies among OECD member countries, and a number of thematic studies on rural development.
