Description

Lana is a Senior Economist at the Atlantic Economic Council. She contributes to regular analysis on the region’s economy and is the Council's lead on net-zero research. She is currently heading a multi-year research project on improving the region’s growth potential and productivity. Previously, she held positions with the provincial government at the Nova Scotia Department of Finance and Treasury Board, as well as with the federal government at Finance Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency. Lana is Past President of the Atlantic Association of Applied Economists. She was the President from 2021-2025. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from Saint Mary’s University, a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen’s University.
