Biography
Ioana Mazilescu is a Romanian-qualified lawyer and graduate of the University of Bucharest, with a postgraduate degree in Business Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University and the University of Bucharest, and an LLM from the University of Amsterdam.
She joined the European Commission in 2008, working on free provision of services, freedom of establishment, and free movement of capital. She is currently Deputy Head of Unit for Digital Transition and Judicial Training in the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers.
Ioana has chaired the Commission Expert Group on model contract terms for data sharing and standard contractual clauses for cloud computing, and she coordinates work on AI in justice.
