Biography
Daniela Piana is Professor at the University of Bologna of Digital Citizenship, Rituals of Legality in the Digital Age, and Political Science. Experienced researcher in sociology of law, comparative judicial systems, and quality of governance, her twenty years track record of publications on rule of law, quality of justice, judicial accountabilities counts more than twenty books and more than hundrend articles. Fulbright Scholar, Jean Monnet Fellow, Distinguished Fellow at the IEA of Paris, Daniela Piana served also as member of the scientific council of the Italian High Administrative Court and as member of ministerial committees appointed to reform the judiciary and to assess the impact of the reforms. She is supporting the Italian justice system to design, implement, and consolidate the DOG method since 2019. OECD senior advisor and member of the OECD GOV Justice expert committee since 2018, Daniela is currently intensively working on methods and toolkits of inclusive and trustworthy innovations in the organization of public and private institutions. Her most recent books touch upon the transformation of the rule of law at the aftermath of the AI breakout.
