Biography
H.E. Mr. Adel Nassar is the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lebanon. He holds a maîtrise in Private Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, a Master’s in Private Law from Paris II – Panthéon-Assas University, and a Master’s degree in Law from Harvard University in the United States.
Before his appointment as Minister, Mr. Nassar pursued a distinguished legal career in both Paris and Beirut. He was a partner at Raphaël & Associés, where he specialised in international arbitration, commercial law, and cross-border investment disputes. A member of both the Beirut and Paris Bar Associations, he has represented clients before domestic and international courts and arbitral tribunals.
Throughout his career, Minister Nassar has published several articles on international arbitration, commercial law, and the protection of investors’ rights, reflecting his commitment to advancing the rule of law and judicial integrity.
As Minister of Justice, he is leading key reforms to strengthen judicial independence, modernise the justice system, and reinforce Lebanon’s engagement with regional and international justice institutions.
