Biography

Dr. Katarína Roskoványi is the State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. Before her appointment, she held several senior positions within the General Prosecutor’s Office, specialising in criminal and international legal matters. She also served as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights, where she gained significant experience in the field of human rights law. Throughout her career, Dr. Roskoványi has shown a deep commitment to strengthening justice and fostering legal cooperation across Europe. Her prosecutorial work at both district and regional levels in Košice has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of Slovakia’s justice system. She holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Law from P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, an MBA in Human Resources, and completed her judiciary exam in 2007. Fluent in English, German, and Russian, she has participated in numerous European legal training programmes and cross-border justice initiatives.
