Lotte Hoex joined the IPIS team as a researcher in 2014. She works on conflict mapping, natural resources and business and human rights. Before joining IPIS, Lotte worked several years for the UN peacekeeping mission in Juba, South Sudan. As part of the UN, Lotte provided advise and capacity building to the South Sudanese Government on security sector reform. Lotte also worked in Bukavu, DR Congo, for a peacebuilding NGO.
Lotte Hoex studied criminology and international law and politics. She has worked at the VU University Amsterdam as a researcher and lecturer on the subject of international criminology.
