By the Swiss Customs Administration (SCA) and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO)
The current customs tariff classification does not distinguish between mined gold traded before refining and already refined gold, e.g. in the form of ingots. Switzerland has submitted a proposal to the World Customs Organization (WCO) allowing for this distinction. Switzerland has independently applied this distinction since 1.1.2021 and made first experiences.
