Description

Hilkka Vihinen is a political scientist and Professor of Rural Policy in Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). Her main research themes during the past 25 years have been a) rural, regional and agricultural policies (policy formulation, institutionalization, implementation and evaluation) nationally and in the EU, and b) rural and regional development, especially measuring the impact of policy programs and instruments. During the last years she has been involved in several studies on multi-locality and remote work. In addition to her work in the academia, she is vice secretary general (research) of the national Rural Policy Council.
